Phenomenal Women around the world… I acknowledge and celebrate you for who you are and for everything that you do!!!!
A phenomenal woman is our mother, auntie, sister, daughter, niece, granddaughter and cousin. We are absolutely a work of perfection (sometimes we’re not aware of it yet), but we are Phenomenal. There comes a time when you must stop and acknowledge the strong and capable woman that you’ve become. Sometimes we tend to wait for someone else to tell us how dynamic we are. The truth is all we need to do is look in the mirror.
In celebrating phenomenal women, I decided to share an excerpt from my book: Moments In Time – Healing Poetry for the Soul. This is a poem that was written to honor the phenomenal women in my life and around the world. And guess what, this also includes You! This excerpt was taken from a poem entitled Who Am I?
Who am I?
I am a mother… I am a wife
Carrying the joy, pain, worries, and hope for life
My job requires me to teach, guide, and protect
Each day I give from my heart
And never asking for much in return
Yes, I am also a caregiver…..
Who am I?
I am your daughter working hard to prove herself
Sometimes I am successful, sometimes not
Always open to here you congratulate me
On the things I’ve done well
So, don’t forget and take it lightly
I need that encouragement
And sometimes just a little help.
Who am I?
I am a woman with a mission and a goal
Don’t mean to be a threat when I act out bold
I’m only trying to make it
In a world full of confinements and hatred
The road I tread, is part of my journey
So, look out!
I’m not the only strong woman, more are coming…
